Blatant Appeal’s Philosophy:

A good book should be like good sex.

1.  The fierce action shouldn’t start too soon—

interest me first—you are interesting, aren’t you?

2.  Seduce me by appealing to all of my senses.

3.  Make me laugh—a bit.  I want to feel good and

warm inside as well as outside.

4.  Shake me up a bit by touching me in places and

ways that causes me to catch my breath.

5.  Tantalize me with possibilities, accelerating, until

I can concentrate only on what you’re doing to

      me and nothing else.

6.    Let me finally reach the climax in ways I didn’t expect.

7.    As my heart slows down, hold me and give me more.  I don’t want it all to end quite yet.

8.    Leave me satisfied, comforted, and with a good feeling about my inner world.

That’s all.  Can you do it?  Blatant Appeal does.
